Shipping/Returns Policy


Our take on quality

Each one of our pieces is made from start to finish by one person, not in a production line in a factory. They are also made in small batches, not hundreds at a time. The nicest thing about this is that each piece has a handmade feel, a high quality make and attention to detail. Our process means there may be small inconstancies from time to time, especially in hand printed products, but we believe that makes each product special.

Methods of payment:

We accept payment through Paypal, VISA and direct deposit only.

We do not accept cheques or cash.


Exchanges and returns

We understand that shopping online is quick and easy, but carries certain risks. We want to lessen that risk for our customers by offering free shipping and easy returns.

When you shop in a store you might take 3 different dresses into the change room to find the right one. We want to encourage you to find the best fit and style for you just like you would in a store. 

Should you purchase a garment and it is not quite right for you, email us to arrange the return within 4 days of receipt of item. The item must be returned to us within 10 days of your delivery. All return shipping costs are to be covered by the customer. Refunds will be made within 5 days of receipt of garments in original condition, minus original shipping costs.

After 14 days all sales are final.

Sale Items Please note that we do not offer refunds, only exchanges, on sale items.  Garments must be unworn with the original tags still attached.

Not sure about size We encourage you to order 2 sizes of the same style and we will issue a refund for the return size. Please keep in mind you are purchasing from a small business - I make small quantities and things sell out quickly, so I can offer this option with these conditions:

1) that you try on the clothes and notify us by email within 48hours of delivery of your intention to return a size.

2) that you post back the return clothes in original condition within 4 days of delivery. 

I ask for this tight turn around to ensure that I know what stock is available for other customers who might be wanting them, especially when we are selling out. Also, Australia Post is pretty slow these days and can add another week onto the process. 

Wrong size If your chosen garment does not fit and we have the better size available we will happily switch it for you. All return shipping costs are to be covered by the customer. Garments must be unworn with the original tags still attached.

Should we not have an available exchange, full priced garments can be returned for a refund (minus original shipping costs). Please notify us within 3 days of delivery of your intentions and we will sort you out.

Making a return:

Before you return your purchase please email hello{at} for confirmation and further instructions.

This returns policy does not apply to goods which have been worn or used, damaged after delivery, or if any attempt has been made to alter the product or if they have been dropped or broken. All products must be returned in their original condition. All postage and insurance costs are to be paid by the buyer. We recommend that you return the product via Registered post and that you pre-pay all postage. You assume any risk of lost, theft or damaged goods during transit & therefore advise you take out shipment registration of insurance with your postal carrier. Kindling will not be responsible for parcels lost or damaged in transit if you choose not to insure.


During manufacture, stocktake and packing, our pieces are checked many times for quality of make and material. However if your order arrives and you find a fault, please contact hello{at} and we will arrange a replacement immediately. We will also cover all return postage costs.

Tax policy

GST is included in the total price charged for goods and shipping for orders within Australia and those shipped internationally.



Free Shipping: within Australia for orders $100+ and internationally $200+.

Kindling items are delivered via Australia Post, the Australian Government postal service and/or the applicable national postal service for international orders.


Domestic (Australia):

We offer free shipping to all orders over $150

All orders under $150 have flat rate shipping of $10. 

Registered Post: $3

Order are posted on weekdays and delivery takes between 1-2 days metro and up to 5 days regionally from time of postage.

All deliveries have tracking online, however we do recommend you add ‘Registered post’ at checkout (extra $3) as this gives you ‘signature at delivery’ and an automatic insurance of $100.

Kindling cannot accept responsibility for reimbursement or compensation for lost packages. We strongly recommend you register your purchase.



Orders over $200 are free.

All other orders have flat rate shipping of  $15.

Please be aware that your order may be subject to local customs duties and/or local taxes in the country of destination. Please check with your local authority for applicable rates. Any additional charge must be borne by the recipient.
