We love our local community. All of us that work at Kindling live locally and we share a real passion for our neighbourhood. There are beautiful parks (with so many excellent dogs), a plethora of great coffee and small neighbourhood bars… there is even an urban winery just down the road. Nina argues that the best croissant in Melbourne is just around the corner.... but that’s up for debate.

Designers + Partners
A clothing shop at heart, we also host a mix of female designers Nina has developed special relationships with over her time in Melbourne to include her love of ceramics, textiles, art, homewares, and accessories. Inspired by her ‘art-teacher-earrings’ personal aesthetic, Nina has also curated an VERY extensive array of jewels by local and international designers.
Shuh: If you're looking for special and unique joyful gifts look no further. Shuh makes bright illustrations, usable textiles and fun quirky ceramics and planters - all designed in her home studio in Melbourne.
Benna Co: Kelly from Benna Co is a total Kindling muse, super mum and amazing ceramicist. We will never tire of seeing her pieces. Each piece is lovingly handmade in her Coburg studio. Inspired by the colours and shapes of the Australian landscape, Kelly’s painterly use of glazes always results in unique naturalistic pieces.
Dorkus Design: Steph Watt from Dorkus Design makes really unique earrings and designs that are a bit of a staff favourite. Steph is Brunswick based and works with transparent acrylic and laser cutting techniques - resulting in a distinctive style that combines minimalism, bold colours, and joyful designs.
Middle Child: Whether you’re after simple studs or colourful statement earrings - Middle Child has something for everyone. Lauren Hasset designs and handmade in their Geelong studio. Lauren takes inspiration from mid-century design and aesthetics to create considered pieces that will go with everything you own.
Baggu: If you know you know. We feel very confident that these are some of the best designed bags and accessories in the world, most also incorporating recycled plastic which totally makes us love them all the more.
Halcyon Nights: Kym and Rueben behind Halcyon nights are an amazingly fun couple who design children's clothing inspired by the adventures they have with their two children. They regularly collaborate with local independent illustrators to create
TSUNO: A social enterprise selling disposable bamboo sanitary pads and organic cotton tampons. They give 50% of profits to programs set up to empower women and girls. Industrial Designer Roz is a close friend of Nina. She is also one of the most amazing women we know!
Kip & Co: Melbourne based textile brand bringing amazing colour to our lives through incredible printed homewares and Children's clothing
